Question RE ReefStatus MG

Can you please tell me how I can find the expiration date for this test kit? I have had it about 2 1/2 years maybe longer. I do not find the need to test MG very often, but due to a problem I am having a new nano saltwater tank (hair algae) I was wondering if the kit is still good.

Hello SaltieGal,

Thank you for your post. There is no finite shelf life on the test kits, thus they do not expire. We include a reference solution in each kit so you can test the integrity of the reagents.

By running a reference test, you can validate that the kit is still functioning properly regardless of age.

Thank you very much for that information. That is incredible that SeaChem has this feature with the kit (reference). Do you have it with all your test kits or this only?

All of the Seachem kits comes standard with a reference solution.
