  • Acid / Alkaline Buffers in a non-CO2 environment

Since the Acid buffer works by converting Carbonates in the water to CO2, will it continue to effectively buffer my PH value in a non-CO2, moderately planted, lightly stocked 6 gallon tank (meaning 1 Betta, 4 Ghost Shrimp and 1 Nerite Snail)?

Yes, it will continue to work in the tank you described. Acid and Alkaline Buffers were developed to work in any planted tank and don't require added CO2 to function properly.
