Just weighed it out, looks like not even a heaped tablespoon?

      Hello dreamscape,

0.1% NaOH is not a significant amount and will not harm Purigen during regeneration. When using Safe to dechlorinate Purigen after regeneration you do want to use 16g per cup of water used.

1/4 teaspoon is approximately 1.25 grams, so one tablespoon would be 15 grams; 1.25g x 12 since there are 3 teaspoons in a tablespoon.

      Regards,
      PE

16 grams of Safe per cup of water is the correct dose for dechlorinating Purigen after recharging. This strong dose is recommend to ensure all residual bleach has been neutralized prior to using the recharged Purigen in an aquarium again.

Sorry but this make no sense whatsoever. Safe is significantly stronger/concentrated than Prime yet you does it "WAY MORE (6-1/2 times)" than Prime.
59.14 ml of Prime treats 591.4 gallons
16 grams of safe treats 3,840 gallons
