Just one more question that I forgot.
As its been said Purigen take out the 'colour/color' of a black water tank but other than that it should be fine in a blackwater set up? Like it does degrade in soft/low ph water?
I dont mind my water being coloured/colored but I dont really like that Renew only lasts just over a month and I'd rather go with Purigen for that reason.

Yes, Purigen will remove color bodies from the water but it is fine to use in any aquarium set up including your black water system. It will not degrade in the soft water.
